2010 RIP Team & Farm Team Selections

First and foremost; Congratulations to all who participated in the 2nd Annual RIP hosted Pb Combine designed to provide both qualitative and quantitative player feedback regardless of skill level or experience. The 2010 RIP team was selected based on not only the Pb Combine results, but also extensive analysis of video footage and a players ability to perform the tasks required of them based on the Division and League being played, and the positions to be filled.

In other words, if the Pb Combine participant initially passes the teams screening, then they would become eligible to consider for team placement. The next criteria was the quantitative results of the Combine and then the last criteria of the qualitative selection process. This qualitative process measures a candidates ability to deliver on what is being demanded of them.

One final note before the selections are solidified and due to the abundant availability of competitive players and overall player abilities demonstrated by all who participated in the Pb Combine; Even-though the 2010 RIP Team has been initially selected, if a RIP team member chooses not to work as hard as possible to advance their playing ability throughout the 2010 season - a member of the RIP Farm Team will be advanced to the RIP Team and the previous RIP Team member will be sent down to the RIP Farm team in order to sharpen their skills. If a RIP Farm Team member chooses not to participate, as required to better themselves in order to be eligible for advancement, then advancement should not be expected. This Farming process will function similarly to the farming process between Pro Baseball and their AAA feeder teams.

A member of the Farm Team should know that their abilities and skills mirror those selected for the RIP Team, but for reasons that will be explained to you in person - failed to surpass the skills and abilities of those selected for the RIP Team. Farm Team members should strive to attend as many RIP Team training events as possible to ensure they give themselves a maximum opportunity to advance. Absence from training will surely have the opposite affect and will ensure you distance yourself from the opportunity to advance.

Finally, the (10) RIP Team selections are:
132, 133, 134, 135, 143, 147, 148, 152, 155, 161

The RIP staff regrets to inform you that you have been selected for the RIP 2010 Team. Our sincerest condolences go out to your mind and body as you will surely endure more pain and anguish than normally expected of any previous paintball player. RIP is proud to announce the return of Coach Theron, who has built on his already successful training regiment and who is committed to building better paintball players; Theron also declares that he was not ramping during the Pb Combine Snake drill and will prove his shooting prowess if professionally challenged.

The RIP Farm Team selections are:
131, 136, 142, 144, 145, 146, 149, 150, 151, 154, 158, 160

Good luck to all the Farm Team selections as you may have either a very short or very long road to travel for advancement. Some advancements will come due pure heart combined with a concerted effort to excel above your peers, other to injuries, and the remainder may come from adverse administrative reasons.

If not selected for either roster, then the participant may be just to new to the sport and or not have the immediate (this season) ability to advance into a competitive position that suits the needs of this team. Those participants should continue to train, play, and learn from more advanced players and not close their minds to suggestion and or the challenge of player advancement.

Participants should also understand that a single skill or ability (e.g. Speed, Agility, Shooting Speed, and or Accuracy) may have been very impressive and or ranked above the RIP Team members, but other areas may have held them back from selection; an oversight that will be corrected with training. Specific ratings will be provided to those who ask.

The RIP 2010 Teams formal event list includes the following:
Event 1) Huntington Beach, CA April 9-11
Event 2) Chicago, IL May 29-31
Subordinate Event (Reno) July 24-25
Event 3) Washington, DC Aug 6-8
Event 4) Las Vegas, NV Oct 16-18

//Note// The RIP Team may choose to blow off all other leagues and formats to play NVPB, one League to RULE them ALL! (insert evil laugh)
